A colossus is a massive and legendarily rare type of construct distinguished from golems by both their incredible size and their more powerful magical impetus that more closely resembles a true soul and grants colossi near-sentient wills of their own. Uniquely, colossi always have a completely different form into which they can change to provide them with alternative capabilities. Legend speaks of mythic colossi that have more than one alternative form. Clearly, only the most powerful builders could ever create a colossus.12
