Ectoplasm
Ectoplasm is a supernatural material associated with the Ethereal Plane. Ectoplasm acts as a medium through which spirits from the Ethereal Plane can interact with the Universe. 1
Appearance
Ectoplasm has been described as ghostly,1 slimy linen, dripping goo,2[citation needed] and occasionally like flesh and blood.3[citation needed]
Properties
Ectoplasm is strongly influenced by the emotions of spirits within the Ethereal Plane.1 Solidified ectoplasm weighs twice as much as an equivalent amount of living matter.2[citation needed] The phantoms of spiritualists manifest through ectoplasm.4 Those with special training can harvest ectoplasm to use as materials in necromantic or enchanting magical implements and spells.5
