Ectoplasm is a supernatural material associated with the Ethereal Plane. Ectoplasm acts as a medium through which spirits from the Ethereal Plane can interact with the Universe.

Appearance

Ectoplasm has been described as ghostly, slimy linen, dripping goo, and occasionally like flesh and blood.

Properties

Ectoplasm is strongly influenced by the emotions of spirits within the Ethereal Plane. Solidified ectoplasm weighs twice as much as an equivalent amount of living matter. The phantoms of spiritualists manifest through ectoplasm. Those with special training can harvest ectoplasm to use as materials in necromantic or enchanting magical implements and spells.
