Gokan Hopper

From PathfinderWiki

Gokan Hoppers are desert- and mountain-dwelling ysoki who live across the western reaches of Tian Xia.1

Appearance

Gokan Hoopers are named for their unique gait. They have much larger feet than other ratfolk and bounding across the open sands more like a kangaroo that a rat or humanoid. Those who live in the desert normally have light, sandy-coloured fur, while those who dwell in the mountains and highlands often have a uniquely eye-catching blend of black and white patches.

Fashion among Gokan Hoopers varies wildly, from contemporary Tian clothing to quilted coats, all the way to tattered rags for those who dwell in the Darklands and imitate the caligni.1

Society

Gokan Hoopers are named for Goka, the City of Wonders, where many live in the subterranean sections of its Deepmarket. Beyond this they also live across the Shanguang Desert, the Wall of Heaven mountains, and in the Darklands region just below these wildernesses. Gokan Hoopers possess an irrepressible hunger for novelty and new experiences, believing that fate smiles on those who try to live at the border of the new and unknown. Gokan Hoopers love gambling and trade, and despite their impulsive behaviours they also make fast and loyal friends.1
