Ulfen Leaper

From PathfinderWiki

Ulfen Leapers are an ancestry of ratfolk who live across the cold northern reaches of Avistan.1

Appearance

Ulfen Leapers are both taller and broader than most other ysoki (as the ratfolk call themselves). Their fur is adapted for the northern climes and tends to be brown, gray, or snow white in colour.1

Society

Ulfen Leapers live in many of the same locations as their namesake Ulfen neighbors across frozen northern Avistan. They are particularly common in Kalsgard and further south in the pirate city of Riddleport. Their affinity for sailing sometimes takes Ulfen Leapers as far south as the Shackles of western Garund and as far east as the Sarkoris Scar, which was once known as the Worldwound.1

Ulfen Leapers are renowned for their deftness and agility, particularly as climbers. Amongst their freezing mountainous homes they use this nimbleness to skitter along narrow paths and across cliff faces, but they are also comfortable amongst the rigging of ships. Ulfen Leapers also have a strong love of the sea and sailing.1

Ulfen Leapers have a somewhat contradictory reputation as both stealthy sneak-thieves and brash, loud brawlers desperate to prove themselves against foes twice their size. In combat they favour fighting from above, ambushing enemies who never notice the Ulfen Leaper who has snuck above them until it is too late.1
