Ground wasp swarms live in colonies dug into the ground, including ruins and tombs. These swarms attack creatures that come too close to their nests. After paralyzing their victim, these wasps lay hundreds of eggs under the skin of the still-living creature. Less mature ground wasps often use this tactic to gather food; if mature ground wasps do so, it is normally for their larvae.
