Hanshepsus are construct soldiers that were made of clay and employed in ancient Osirion. Each resembles a muscular human-sized humanoid with an animal in place of its head, the type of which the hanshepsu can change as desired.1

Appearance

Hanshepsus are on average the size and shape of a lean, muscular human, but they weigh more than 300 pounds due to their clay composition.1

History

First created during the First Age of Osirion, hanshepsus served as frontline soldiers in Osirion's armies that never grew weary, required no food or water, and were nearly impervious to most mundane and many magical attacks. Osirian artificers crafted hanshepsus using secrets stolen from golem crafters of the Jistka Imperium and deployed them to great success in Osirion's wars against Jistka. The constructs marched in advance of mortal troops during Osirion's invasions of Jistkan lands in what is now known as Thuvia.1
