Hurricane King
The elected leader of the Free Captains of the Shackles takes the title of Hurricane King or Hurricane Queen.12 The first Hurricane King was named some time after the formation of the Eye of Abendego in 4606 AR.2
In 4674 AR, the Shackles Pirates banded together as a single pirate fleet behind Kerdak Bonefist, who became the thirteenth Hurricane King after the death of the previous Hurricane King Skavender Pitch.3✝ Since 4715 AR,✝ the Hurricane Queen has been Tessa Fairwind,45 who had been long rumored to succeed her predecessor.6
