4715 AR in conflicts
- A Nirmathi force attacks Fort Ramgate and is slaughtered by hobgoblin Molthuni mercenaries. The hobgoblins then attack nearby civilian camps against Molthuni policy. The assault and retaliation are dubbed the Ramgate Massacre.1
- Agents affiliated with the Aspis Consortium attack the Pathfinder Society through the Hao Jin Tapestry to raid the Grand Lodge in Absalom during the annual Grand Convocation, a battle that would become known as the Siege of Serpents.2
- The Pathfinder Society engages in open opposition to an Aspis Consortium plot, led by Maiveer Sloan, that attempts to resume artifact smuggling operations in Magnimar.3
- Heidmarch Manor serves as a central location for the Society's counterefforts.4
- The citizens of Sargava overthrow the nation's oppressive government in the Vidric Revolution and found Vidrian, then defeat a siege by the Free Captains of the Shackles.5
- Three rebellions erupt in Cheliax at the same time.
- The Glorious Reclamation endeavors to purify and reclaim the Chelaxian heartlands in the name of Iomedae. However, after a year of intense conflict the Glorious Reclamation is defeated, and its leaders suffer public execution by torture.678
- Cheliax appoints Paracount Barzillai Thrune as lord-mayor of Kintargo to bring it and the Archduchy of Ravounel under heel. The Silver Ravens emerge, and Barzillai enacts the Night of Ashes to purge dissidents; the massacre sparks the Kintargan Rebellion.678
- An uprising in Isger is crushed by agents of Cheliax.6
- The Onyx Key is stolen from the vaults of Kraggodan with evidence implicating agents of Molthune were involved, ending the dwarven city's longstanding neutrality in Molthune's conflict with Nirmathas.9
- Molthuni General Cadmius Ortho begins laying careful siege to Kraggodan, though instructions from his superiors to avoid damaging the city's architecture or harming civilians enables clever dwarven resistance.10
4715 AR in organizations
- The Scarlet Triad attempts to build a lesser orb of gold dragonkind.11
- Eras the Needle enters his third failed petition to be captain of the Grinning Pixie.12
- Lord-Mayor Barzillai Thrune outlaws the Order of the Torrent in Kintargo and loots its Citadel Vaull. The order's Lictor Octavio Sabinus goes missing. Barzillai replaces the order with the Order of the Rack.1314
- After a scaffolding accident crushes the legs of Guyton Grerton of the Ogrekin hauling business in Absalom and his employer refuses to compensate him, workers pool money to help Grerton recover and organize a strike against the establishment. Many dock workers eventually boycott the company, and the incident spurs Grerton's creation of the Lifter's Mooring dock and warehouse labor union.15

- Musical virtuoso Tirilee Ambrasa of Kyonin makes an exceptional fourth-consecutive star-making appearance at the Eagle's Head summer festival venue in Taldor.16
- Following the passage of several reforms, Hao Jin invests a substantial sum to lease a swath of the Szaezan Crags and resettles inhabitants of the Hao Jin Tapestry there. These resettled folk become known as the Tapestry People.17
4715 AR in politics
- Iomedaean knights of the Glorious Reclamation raid the Hellknight Order of the Godclaw to recover an artifact of their goddess. The brazen attack sets off open rebellion against House Thrune in southern and eastern Cheliax, leading to the throne swiftly installing martial law in major Chelaxian cities and mandating that all Chelaxian loyalists swear the Hellfire Compact.18
- Paracount Barzillai Thrune is appointed lord-mayor of Kintargo. He immediately institutes a brutal crackdown on rebellious organizations, puts the city under a strict curfew, and begins issuing several sweeping proclamations over its citizens.19
- After overthrowing the oppressive government of Sargava in the Vidric Revolution, the people of that nation rename it Vidrian.5
- In the Shackles, Tessa Fairwind becomes the most recent Hurricane Queen, taking the title from Kerdak Bonefist.20✝
- A Tian-Shu oracle and claimed mathematician from Po Li calling herself Shui Jing arrives to Bachuan, helps reconcile its ruling Pei family, and contributes to several reforms that loosen the nation's restrictive policies on commerce and personal freedoms.17
Deaths in 4715 AR
- Benigno Ygresta, a professor and lecturer of necromancy at the Acadamae, dies. He names his friend Varian Jeggare as executor of his will.21
- The death and reanimation of Frell Tann in Korvosa's Bridgefront district, as well as the discovery of dozens of corpses in Old Korvosa, spawns an investigation into the city's increasingly harmful shiver trade.22
Miscellaneous
- This is the year 7215 IC in the Imperial Calendar.17
- Eando Kline, Varian Jeggare, and their companions reunite the three volumes of the Gluttonous Tome under the influence of the runelord Zutha. Eando, along with Varian's companion Radovan Virholt, free Jeggare from Zutha's thrall, and together they defeat the risen runelord before he can properly reconstruct his body. They later scattered the pieces of the Gluttonous Tome once again, but this brief return is enough for Zutha to re-establish a foothold in the world and for his influence to fester within all of the tome's fragments.23242526
