Kitharodian actors are specially trained performers who can almost completely disappear into a stage role. Using an intense form of method acting, they channel various personae from Taldor's cultural heritage, such as Taldaris or Stavian III, and then apply their experience in portraying these figures to bolster their performance abilities.

Despite taking its name from the Kitharodian Academy, the foundational works of this style are taught at schools throughout Taldor. Those who do study at the Kitharodian Academy and show aptitude for this style of performance are carefully monitored and trained by Academy instructors and senior Lion Blades alike.
