Lawrence 1917 flamethrower
Lawrence 1917 flamethrowers were Earth-made flamethrowers designed by the British military and used by Russian soldiers in AD 1917. Each is composed of two backpack-mounted tanks, one of each filled with oil and propellant, and a handheld projection "lance" mounted on a swivel.1
At full capacity, a Lawrence 1917 can emit and ignite six 60-foot lines of flame. Its range doubled that of other portable flamethrowers and rivaled that of larger, heavier machines.2
