Market Stalls (Ilsurian)

Market Stalls in the town of Ilsurian stand all around the courtyard that surrounds the towering Statue of Ilsur. The open-air market comprises a number of small merchant stalls and tents that sell a variety of goods. Most stalls belong to ethnic Varisians who stay in Ilsurian for only a few weeks before moving on to sell their goods in other towns. Due to Ilsurian's racial tensions, angry residents often start fighting with the Varisian merchants and the guards usually throw both parties in the Town Jail overnight, since jailing only the residents would provoke bigger trouble from like-minded townspeople. Despite the occasional conflicts, Varisian merchants still come to town as the trade across the Yondabakari River and the Lake Syrantula makes it a lucrative spot.
