Edition-specific mechanical issue

Soto Takahiro was mechanically defined as an oni-spawn tiefling in Pathfinder First Edition adventure The Empty Throne 54. In the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project, tieflings were renamed to cambions, oni were redefined to be spiritual creatures instead of fiends, and hungerseed (oni-spawn) were no longer considered planar scions or cambions (tieflings). Takahiro remains categorized as a cambion because he was mechanically defined as a tiefling in The Empty Throne.

As of September 2024 no canon source has revisited Soto Takahiro's mechanical definition, so no canon replacement for these details might exist. -Oznogon (talk) 19:37, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
