Mezlan

Mezlans are sapient ooze shapeshifters who can take on the form of a humanoid.¹²

In ages past, the ancient Azlanti could transform a living human into a mezlan, granting the individual great powers and essential immortality. This process is widely believed to have been lost to time.³⁴
