Sapience

From PathfinderWiki
(Redirected from Sapient)

Sapience is a being's ability to apply knowledge, experience, insight, and ethics to their decision-making. It does not necessarily include instinctual emotions or basic sensations, which are the domain of sentience.1 Metaphysical academics of the four essences theory consider sapience to be primarily the domain of mental essence, which governs a being's deliberate and rational thought.2
