The town of Pek Peh is one of the settlements scattered throughout the desolate, monster-haunted land of Shenmen. Ruled over by the fearsome jorogumo, monstrous hybrids of humans and spiders, Pek Peh is forced to resort to banditry and kidnapping to keep up with the jorogumo's demands for sentient sacrificial victims.
