Prophesied monarchs are legendary leaders believed to return in some form when their people are in need. They are distinguished by the retinue of "knights" who also appear alongside their reappearance. Despite the titles of "monarch" and "knight", prophesied monarchs and their followers can range in roles from ship captains and their crew, to clerics and their congregations, or bandit leaders and the brigands they lead.
