Reincarnate (spell)
This article covers a topic relevant to Pathfinder First Edition. For the Pathfinder Second Edition equivalent, see reincarnate (ritual). For other meanings of "reincarnate", see reincarnate (disambiguation). |
Reincarnate is a spell that can reincarnate the soul of a deceased mortal into a new body.
The spell requires a part of the deceased mortal's remains, and an amount of oil worth 1,000 gold pieces. The spell can restore life to a soul only if it has not been judged by Pharasma, and only if the soul wishes to return.
The reincarnated soul typically assumes a new form of a random sapient ancestry but retains the knowledge and talents accumulated from its mortal life. The reincarnated person can be restored to their original form by means of wish magic or a miracle.1[citation needed]
