The Sanctum of Aroden, an underground site of Absalom's Church of Aroden whose location was kept a secret for millennia, served as a chapel and headquarters of the Arodenite monastic cult of the Order of the Aeon Star.

The Sanctum's chapel is believed to have been the home of the Azlanti Diamond, where it served as a ritual focus, and was also the site of the tomb of Saint Sarnax the Great, who is said to have been buried with the priceless Heart of Sarnax ruby artifact. The Sanctum is also rumored to contain a chamber that phantasmagorically recreates the Aroden's experiences with the Test of the Starstone.

After Aroden's death, the secret portals that granted access to the Sanctum closed, and its location was forgotten and shielded from divination. No known entity has located or entered the Sanctum since, though the progress of several parties searching for it suggests that its rediscovery might be inevitable.1
