Sand Brethren

From PathfinderWiki

The Sand Brethren are a variety of lizardfolk tribes and cultures that cover the deserts and arid regions of northern Garund and western Casmaron.1

Appearance

The Sand Brethren are a diverse group spread across many areas and biomes, and as such do not share a common appearance. They are instead united by a shared culture. They do, however, favour similar fashions to their Keleshite neighbors: heat-resistant cloaks and cooling head wraps.1

Culture

The Sand Brethren are united by their culture and include ancestries as disparate as the dune-surfing Barrukas, the armour-scaled Hazairs, the camouflaged Nazegs, the blood-spitting Shaikim, and the slender and nocturnal Zephyr Kin.

These disparate cultures all share certain cultural touchstones. Each group values their desert home, their independence, and their privacy. They also share traditions of hospitality, a love of cultivating rare desert flowers, and traditional scimitar-wielding sword dances in which they attempt to lightly cut the ends of their rivals' tails.

The Zephyr Kin serve as a cultural unifier for the disparate peoples of the Sand Brethren They travel along vast circuits, which range from Casmaron through Taldor and across the north of Garund to Rahadoum, trading goods and news from every Sand Brethren they meet along the way.1
