The suture vine is a thorny plant that can sense wounded animals and ride on them, sealing open wounds while absorbing harmless amounts of blood. Most animals know to avoid eating suture vines and seek them out when wounded. Suture vines that have not eaten for a week sometimes ambush small prey.
