Takatengu

From PathfinderWiki

Takatengu1 are a tengu culture of the mountains of the Tian Xia kingdom of Minkai.2

Appearance

Takatengu generally resemble their more common Kwanlai tengu kin but are noticeably taller and much broader in stature. Takatengu display little flair in their fashion, tending to favour the humble clothing of muted colours worn by Minkai's other ascetics.2

Culture

Takatengu culture highly values martial prowess, discipline, and asceticism, in stark contrast to many other tengu heritages. They live simple lives that focus on farming, crafting, and combat training. Everyone owes a debt of duty to their community, but they are also allowed a great deal of freedom to pursue whatever other artistic, crafting, or fighting style interests them most as long as they excel at its practice.

Takatengu are renowned as both some of the greatest warriors and most accomplished swordsmiths of Golarion. Their less disciplined, more gregarious kin from other cultures often struggle in takatengu communities due to their intense focus on their disciplined and prestigious reputation.2
