Skraeling

Per Adam Daigle and James Jacobs, skraeling is unlikely to appear again in canon. Due to the offensiveness of its real-world usage, should we omit skraeling as a term here? -Oznogon (talk) 03:51, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

Well spotted Oznogin and I think Branding has a sensible and sensitive way forward there. I had no idea about this and so someone similarly finding a reference in a Paizo book may look it up here and be confused at not finding it. A little reference on the page to the articles Oznogon found will help them. I did a scan read of the Skræling article and couldn't find any evidence there on the main page about it being a racist of provocative term, so if Wikipedia keep a full article on the term we'd be way ahead of them on sensitivity and that seems appropriate. Multiple ethnicities

Inner Sea Races (p64) makes it clear that Arcadian is an improper term for an ethnicity, much like Avistani and Tian are, as there are many distinct ethnicities among Arcadians. ISR alone mentions the Kansari, Mahwek, Calani, and Oeurfasians as distinct ethnicities.

How should we approach this? Should we follow Mwangi as a model, listing each Arcadian ethnicity as a section and linking to a main article for those where enough information is available to justify an article? (For instance, we now have quite a bit of detail about the Mahwek between ISR and especially Distant Shores, but nothing more than a mention of the Calani.) Or do we want to break each Arcadian ethnicity into its own article, as we do for the Avistani ethnicities? -Oznogon (talk) 00:18, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

I would split each ethnicity into an article (those with enough information that is) and redirect 'Arcadian' to the main Arcadia page, and do the same thing for the Tian ethnicities.
