Handling 1E (RESOLVED)

When a page has an infobox, removal of the non-canon refs is not an issue as the 1E reference is retained in the infobox. For dawnsilver, there is no infobox, so I saw the page had, in effect, been removed from the wiki on behalf of 1E users and I didn't think that right, as we have always said the wiki will be maintained for those folk, so I added references for 1E users in the References section, so it would not breach our canon policy. Overnight, you've undone your own edit and mine and replaced the 1E refs in the text area, which is against policy, surely? Not sure how that is better. I had a cunning plan come to me overnight, and it's maybe a compromise plan(?), to replace the non-canon references with a link to aon in a fashion similar to the Wikipedia link. Done. I thought I was making a compromise of my own by limiting those non-canon references scope to the name, which was the only part of the article where they were relevant to canon. This is better. Thank you. -Oznogon (talk) 17:59, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
