Currently, Ezren's {Iconic} infobox data reads as follows:

1. In 2023, the remaster Player Core phased out usage of the words "universal" and "universalist". Instead, Ezren's school is the "school of unified magical theory".
2. Should {Iconic} infoboxes note that alignment is no longer canon?
3. The terms "bonded object" and "cane" are both from PF1e. In PF2e, Ezren's bonded item is the "staff" weapon, rather than a "cane".
4. In PF1e, arcane bond was kind of like a subclass choice, in that there were two classes of wizard in the world: You could say every wizard was either a "bonded object wizard", or a "familiar wizard". PF2e doesn't really work like that: The Familiar feat is a normal feat that any wizard can take; and every wizard has an arcane bond which is by default a bonded item (unless you take the improved familiar attunement Thesis, which replaces Drain Bonded Item with Drain Familiar)
5. In any case, Ezren doesn't have a familiar. Can the infobox be reprogrammed to no longer say "Familiar"?

Re: 1, 3, and 4, all edition-related suggestions should be discussed and decided on either Template talk:Iconic or Help talk:Writing an article about a person and applied to all iconics instead of deciding case-by-case.

Re: 5, this should also be discussed on Template talk:Iconic, and I'd argue that it could be removed from the infobox in favor of describing it in the article body. -Oznogon (talk) 04:43, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

Re: 2, I strongly oppose, least of all because concepts of alignment remain part of the setting regardless, and more pertinently because we intentionally retain alignment for both 1E and legacy 2E in creature and person infoboxes, and I see no reason whatsoever to treat iconics differently. Either {{Iconic}} should be tabbed to preserve 1E details or alignment should be noted in the infobox's footnote parameter. -Oznogon (talk) 04:43, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

Name

Joshua J. Frost played Ezren in a playtest of Jason Bulmahn's Crypt of the Everflame. Frost wrote journal entries in-character as Ezren on the Paizo messageboards, in which he writes Ezren's name as "Ezren Zefiir". This name does not appear in any published Pathfinder Roleplaying Game work. (Someone with the comics will have to confirm whether it appears there.) -Oznogon (talk) 05:23, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
