Which side of the damn river?

So we have a conflict. The text description in The Inner Sea World Guide p. 104 clearly states that Kalsgard is on the northern banks of the river, while all other sources I can find (Inner Sea Poster Map Folio, the map of the Lands of the Linnorm Kings in Lands of the Linnorm Kings (sourcebook), the map of Kalsgard on p. 32 of that same book, the huge article on the city in Night of Frozen Shadows, and even the map of the region on p. 104 of the ISWG) say it's on the southern banks. I vote that overwhelming evidence points towards it being on the southern banks, especially since the highest tiered source contradicts itself. --Brandingopportunity (talk) 16:30, 20 December 2015 (UTC)

Lands of the Linnorm Kings 31 also states that Iceferry is both on the northern bank of the Rimeflow and opposite of Kalsgard, as close to explicitly stating that Kalsgard is on the southern banks as it can.
The Night of Frozen Shadows 66 map depicts it on the southern banks.
The Saga Lands map on World Guide 109 positions it on the southern banks.
The abstract map in the World Guide poster map depicts it as being on the southern banks.
The geographic map in the World Guide poster map positions it on the northern banks.
The trade routes map on A Taste of Ashes 64, reprinted on Travel Guide 34, positions it on the northern banks.
The text of Pathfinder Society Guide 87 describes it as being "on the opposite side of the Rimeflow River from Iceferry", and describes Iceferry Lodge as being north of Kalsgard, implying that Kalsgard is on the southern banks.
Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild locator maps consistently position it on the southern banks, southeast of Iceferry, which is consistently positioned as being on the northern banks.
Pathfinder Society (second edition) locator maps consistently position it on the southern banks.

Details mandating that Iceferry be across the Rimeflow from Kalsgard, and also north of Kalsgard, strongly suggest that Kalsgard is on the southern banks, but this is a largely sideways resolution repeatedly complicated by maps in high-tier sources seemingly placing Kalsgard incorrectly on the northern banks. -Oznogon (talk) 18:55, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
