Murder's Mark

There is a drug mentioned on p13 of Murder's Mark called Shiver. Is it the same as Shiver discussed here or a different drug? Certainly its cost is significantly more than that discussed here. I cannot read too deeply about this (just the text in the box) as I will play this module and don't want spoilers. --Fleanetha (talk) 22:35, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

it is a potent form, and therefore I think it should be mentioned as a separate section on this page. -- Cpt kirstov (talk) 13:14, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Is shiver illegal in Korvosa?

See this forums thread.

This article stated, pretty unequivocally, that "in Korvosa, for instance ... the use of shiver is tightly controlled, although not technically illegal". The citation is to page 83 of Edge of Anarchy, in the dream spider Bestiary entry, which is a tier 1 canon source. However, that page does not state that shiver is legal in Korvosa:

A single dose of shiver is worth 10 gp, although actual street value can sometimes exceed five times that amount in areas where drug trades are tightly controlled or illegal. In Korvosa, a dose of shiver typically sells for 25 gp--enough that a life of petty theft can just barely keep an addict in ready supply.

Therefore, the article should rely on Guide to Korvosa at a minimum, which explicitly states that it is illegal ("those found in possession or under the effects of any of these drugs face up to half a year in jail before they even get a trial"), and newer sources if possible to state whether shiver is legal. (ie. The House on Hook Street, which lacks an explicit statement on shiver's legality but strongly suggests that Guide to Korvosa's blanket statement on the legality of drugs remains true.) -Oznogon (talk) 21:50, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
