The White Wardens were a secret society of Taldan nobles who attempted to overthrow the Primogen Crown of Taldor at the end of the 30th century AR. They stirred up xenophobia and war fever against Qadira following the calamitous earthquakes of 2920 AR, blaming the disaster on their southern neighbors' supposed allegiance to the deity Rovagug. They finally attempted a coup in 2921 AR, but didn't succeed, and Grand Prince Remoque V stripped them of their titles and banished them soon thereafter, thus averting a war with Qadira.1
