The Ancient One is a ghast who inhabits the Gloomspires. As a mortal he was once Rajhan-Vol, bosun of the pirate Sempet Sevenfingers, and had attempted and failed to lead a mutiny against his captain. Sevenfingers executed Rajhan-Vol and the other mutineers were executed, with Rajhan-Vol's corpse left on the Necrotic Polyp in the Gloomspires to be reanimated as an undead guardian.1
Possessions
Sevenfingers left the Ancient One a "wage" of 10,000 silver pieces, a mockingly small fraction of his fortune.2
