Athalos was a very powerful shadow wizard: an expert in shadow magic. In Athalos' keep was a map, hidden in an ugly statuette, that showed the whereabouts of the Crown of Twilight, an item that Athalos sought to increase his power. The statuette was removed from his keep by Elyana Sadrastis' party as loot and retained by Baron Stelan in Adrast, Taldor.
