Category talk:Sith

From PathfinderWiki

Meaning?

Is this category supposed to be anything more than an assortment of creatures with the word sith in their names? This word (or rather sìth) means fairy in Gaelic, but I can find no source for any possible in-world meaning that this word has, or any special relationships between creatures with this word. This feels like creating a category named 'child' and populate it with unrelated creatures like shining child and child of Yog-Sothoth and deghuun and so on; or a category named 'gaunt' with members like feargaunt and irlgaunt; too 'random' to merit a category. - HTD (talk) 10:49, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

HTD, please take a look at PathfinderWiki:Please do not bite the newcomers & PathfinderWiki:Wikiquette. It is difficult to judge tone on a wiki, but reading this, I feel I could have worded this as a simple question without the statements that could potentially be read as dismissive or unwelcoming to a newer contributor. I find little encouragement or helpful advice here, either. --Fleanetha (talk) 12:10, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
(I screwed things up again, didn't I?) But anyway, the question is that does this category have any significant encyclopaedic importance? - HTD (talk) 05:13, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
The real world Wikipedia article for the two creatures in this category only are part of a 'fairy creatures' template/category. If the sith aren't mentioned in any of the first world articles as a canon sub-race of farie, I'd be ok dropping this and just keeping them in the fairy category. -- Cpt kirstov (talk) 03:23, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
