Flytraps are carnivorous plants distinguished by tooth-edged mouth-like leaves. They feed on giant insects, but will also take humanoid prey.[1]
Variants
Snapping flytrap
Snapping flytraps possess two tooth-edged mouths at the end of ten-foot-long stalks. They are aggressive carnivores and bite at any creature that approaches them.[1] They can move around with their roots, and are sometimes taken as animal companions.[2]
Giant flytrap
Giant flytraps are ambush hunters that blend in with surrounding foliage, using the element of surprise to strike at their prey.[1]
In Golarion
Giant flytraps are known to grow in Westcrown's Ramble Gardens, as are assassin vines.[3] They are also known to be prevalent amongst the lush Sudisan Peaks of the distant Valashmai Jungle.[4]
