A hippopotamus, often shortened to just hippo, is a large herbivorous mammal that divides its time between land and freshwater lakes and rivers. Hippopotamuses (or hippopotami) have a fierce reputation for viciously attacking anyone drawing near and, in water, they are capable of capsizing boats.1
Uses
The whole skull of a hippopotamus can be used to create a magical and intimidating shield called a hippopotamus klar, where one of the animal's canine teeth is used as a blade. Once a day, the klar can open up its jaws impossibly wide to bite down on two adjacent foes.2
