J Dacilane
J Dacilane1 is a young nobleman from the city of Absalom whose tragic past continues to haunt him to this day.2 As of 4724 AR, he had become headmaster of Absalom's Dacilane Academy, a school that teaches the children of Pathfinders.3
Relatives
J is the son of Lady Miranda Dacilane, a woman of Chelaxian descent and the focus of several rumors around Absalom. After J's rescue, Lady Miranda funded the Society's archaeological work in the Drownyard necropolis where Pathfinders found J.4
J had a grandmother who died at some point recent to 4719 AR.5
Associates
Dacilane participated in Pathfinder Society field training6 before joining the Eagle Knights.7 As of 4719 AR, Dacilane was a Pathfinder investigator infiltrating Absalom's Ordaire of Goode Standing and using Grishan's name as an alias.8
In gratitude to the Society for rescuing him and in memory of his grandmother after her passing, Dacilane donated a large sum to the Urbane District Academy, a school for the children of Pathfinders. The Society recognized the donation by renaming the school to the Dacilane Academy.5 By 4724 AR, he had also become headmaster of the academy.3

Companions
Grishan Maldris was the childhood brother of Major Colson Maldris, head of the Liberty's Edge faction of the Pathfinder Society. Grishan was killed in the Tri-Towers Yard during the great earthquake of 4698 AR, but his phantom bonded with Dacilane, his good friend, who survived the encounter for 10 years79 thanks to a ring of sustenance and Grishan's efforts as a phantom to hide J's soul in the Ethereal Plane. After Dacilane was rescued by members of the Pathfinder Society in 4708 AR, Grishan's returned Dacilane's soul and hid himself in Dacilane's consciousness for several years.9
