The Bloodstones of Arazni are a group of four canopic jars—the Heart, Liver, Lung, and Spleen Bloodstone of Arazni—that hold the internal organs of Arazni, the former herald of Aroden1 who is now a deity.

History

The Bloodstones were created by Geb, the ruler of the eponymous nation, in the process of reanimating Arazni's corpse as a lich.✝ Each of the jars holds a small sliver of not only her former divine power, but also that of her former master, Aroden. The jars were stolen from Geb by the Knights of Ozem toward the end of the 39th century AR, and as of 4712 AR their location was unknown. Arazni believed that the owner of the Bloodstones could gain power over her, and had therefore searched for them continuously for the prior 800 years.1

The Bloodstones continue to exist after Arazni's ascension to goddesshood, which transformed her remains; each Bloodstone now takes on an aspect of Arazni's divinity.2

Abilities

Each Bloodstone grants its bearer a different power that echoes from Arazni's former form and Aroden's power.13 For example, the Lung Bloodstone of Arazni grants an echo of Arazni's sense of duty, her stalwart will, and her knowledge.3

Destruction

Geb and Arazni can together destroy a Bloodstone by binding its organ inside Arazni's body during a day-long ritual.3
