Magnetism

From PathfinderWiki
(Redirected from Lunar magnetism)

Magnetism is a class of physical phenomena that are mediated by magnetic fields, which are forces that attract or repel certain materials. It is related to electricity, and the combination of the two is known as electromagnetism.1

On Golarion

On Golarion, certain metals are attracted to magnetic forces, including iron, adamantine, and dawnsilver.2 Magnetic forces can also repel magnetized objects, as well as nanites.3

Gregorias Desmaske, a former professor of natural sciences at the University of Lepidstadt, claimed to employ Stasian technology, magnetite, and moonstone to generate lunar magnetism, an artificial recreation of tidal forces believed to be associated with werecreatures and capable of blocking a werecreature's transformation between forms.4

In the Great Beyond

Zuhra shuyookhs of the Plane of Metal are both charismatically and literally magnetic.5
