Ohira is the Spirit Road's largest village and serves as a popular intermediate destination for adventurers seeking to journey deeper into the Forest of Spirits.1

Geography

Ohira is located where the Bunkatsu River empties into the Sapphire Sound. Crossing this river delta is the Spirit Road, which is dotted with smaller neighboring settlements.1

Culture

Ohira displays a blend of Hongali, Minkaian, and local Forester2 cultures, much like other Spirit Road settlements. The erratic schedules of Tian-La humans combined with the peculiarities of unwritten kami rules give the village a strange flow of time.1

The recent increased interest in the Forest of Spirits provides economic boons for the merchants of Ohira as travelers and adventurers seek rest, supplies, offerings for kami, and expert guides. However, this increased interest has worried some residents. Spirit Road settlements exist due to detailed agreements with the local kami as to not disrupt the balance of nature, and the recent flow of self-serving adventurers poses a threat to these ancestral agreements.1
