The Rite of Four Architects is a secret ritual prescribed by the Founding Laws of Absalom, which were established by Aroden upon his creation of the city in 1 AR.1

The Laws mandate that the city's four spell lords perform the Rite of Four Architects upon every equinox and solstice, with each wearing masks and clothing to depict them as one of the Azlanti deities of Abadar, Aroden, Amaznen, and Acavna. The ritual's purpose, or the consequences of failing to perform it, are unknown.1

The Knights of the Aeon Star were charged with the Rite's preservation, which was purportedly sourced from a lost Azlanti-era chapter of Abadar's holy text, the Manual of City Building.1
