Shard slags are living masses of red-hot, semi-molten iron ooze. Their most notable—and dangerous—characteristic is the manner in which their bodies constantly extrude and reabsorb razor-sharp, scorching-hot metallic blades.

Ecology

Shard slags prefer to inhabit hot, dry environments, as cold and water both pose great threats to these molten lifeforms. Volcanoes are common homes for these creatures, which also live within the molten cores of planets and areas where the Plane of Fire is especially close to the Material Plane.

On Golarion

Shard slags have been encountered in Hrethnar's Tomb and Jormurdun.
