Sloths are a family of mammalian animals that live in trees, where they eat fruits and leaves. They are renowned for their efficency and require little food or energy to survive.1
Appearance
Sloths are well-known for their slow but efficient movement using hooked claws, which they use to climb, hang from, and navigate between tree trunks and branches, but are also effective in defense. Their fur often gains a green tint over time from a moss-like algae that grows only on their bodies, which in turn feeds a unique type of moth as well as other parasites.1
Variants
- Three-toed sloths are solitary, gentle creatures sometimes employed by enclaves of druids as naturally camoflauged lookouts1
- Megatheriums are massive, voracious sloths of ancient forests that can stand up to 20 feet tall and emit a powerful musk1
