Cullaim II

Most other sources list the King of Cheliax from the 4570s through the death of Aroden and into the Civil War as Gaspodar. --Takeyabue 13:05, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Cullaim II was king of Andoran, Gaspodar of Cheliax, so there's no conflict. --brandingopportunity 21:29, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
So Andoran has its own kings even though it was part of the Empire Of Cheliax? --Takeyabue 22:59, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure on this issue, but I'm adding it to my list of things to investigate once I get started on canon wrangling instead of development here at Paizo HQ. Thanks the the keen eye, Takeyabue. —yoda8myhead 23:55, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
I have a feeling that Cullaim was a typo. He's only mentioned that one time, whereas Gaspodar has been established. Sorry I didn't look at all the evidence before proclaiming my judgement. --brandingopportunity 00:18, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
I'm guessing this was never resolved, Yoda? --Brandingopportunity (talk) 04:20, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Since I still haven't switched from development to exclusively wrangling canon, nope! Without looking at the source right now, does it explicitly state that Cullaim II was a king? Cause he could simply have been the second noble in a line with that name. Until we have an in-world explanation of what's up with him, or it's specifically called out as an error, then I say we simply leave things as they are with a conflict callout. —Paizo Publishing, LLC.png Yoda8myhead (talk) 06:12, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
So now that I've had a chance to look at the original citation (he's mentioned only once on Andoran, Spirit of Liberty, p. 4), it says that he was King Cullaim II. Since Andoran did not exist as a sovereign nation until 69 years thereafter, that means that this was referring to Cheliax. We have a later publication (The Infernal Syndrome, p. 65) stating that Gaspodar was already in power in 4576 AR, so perhaps Cullaim was just a writer's mistake after all. --Brandingopportunity (talk) 07:24, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

This issue seems to have been carried forward into Andoran, Birthplace of Freedom, p. 3. Now there is a King Culliam IV of Andoran (note the switching of the "i" and "a" in his name) listed as capitulating to Queen Abrogail I of Cheliax at the end of the Chelish Civil War. The name thing seems to be a typo, as the only other listing of a "Culliam" is in the PFS scenario Rivalry's End. --Brandingopportunity (talk) 15:26, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

An additional reference: Lost Treasures p. 56; the Talmandor Blade was worn by Talmandor while advising "King Cullaim II" on the Eagle Knights' formation in 4600 AR. -OznoBot (talk) 00:57, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

Bumping for Yoda8myhead since achieving canon-wrangling status. -Oznogon (talk) 17:21, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
