Origins

The origin tales of Achaekek conflict across several official sources.

• Escape from Old Korvosa 81 states that Achaekek was a non-deific creature created by the deities prior to the domination of mortals in the Universe.
• Pathfinder Chronicles Gods and Magic 3 states that Achaekek was created as a response to Tar-Baphon's killing of Arazni.
  • In a Paizo messageboards thread from August 2009, James Jacobs suggests this origin story is inaccurate.
• Inner Sea Gods 175 states that Achaekek was created to protect deities from those who would steal their divinity, but does not detail who created him or when.
• Inner Sea Faiths 6 states that Achaekek may have been created by a deity that Achaekek later killed.
• Lost Omens Gods and Magic 52 suggests his creation story is factually unknown, and references the creation story of Inner Sea Gods while also suggesting that either a single deity or several were his creator.
• The Windsong Testaments stories "The Three Fears of Pharasma" and "Rage of Creation", in-universe works that are not considered objectively reliable sources of canon truths, both state that Achaekek was one of the first eight deities alongside Ihys and Asmodeus.

We need to change the History section of this page a bit, as it turns out Achaekek has been around for a very long time, and was not created in respond to the slaying of Arazni. See [1].--brandingopportunity 17:58, September 28, 2010 (UTC)
