Map Placement
Convention has been, thus far, to include maps in the body of an article in the Geography section, leaving the infobox for art of the city. See Korvosa, Absalom, and Riddleport for examples. Should we maintain this even on articles where no art exists of the city other than a map? -- Yoda8myhead 00:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think the existing convention should be maintained; fan art contributions are still a possibility, and likely to steadily increase once the first reviews of the final Pathfinder system start making their way around the gaming community this Fall. In addition to space for an image, I also would like to leave room for a regional map showing such locations, as is being discussed over at Talk:Janderhoff -- Heaven's Agent 05:05, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Holding of Cheliax or Magnimar
When i got up this morning there was an edit regarding Sandpoint being a holding of Cheliax instead of Magnimar. I went back to Burnt Offerings to double check things... Sandpoint was set up by a consortium of Magnimarian merchant families and (I think) pays taxes to Magnimar. Magnimar was (and still is, at least in name?) a Chelish holding, but largely operates independently. My interpretation is that it is more proper to call Sandpoint a holding of Magnimar, so I reverted the edit. I'd like a sanity check on that though, so somebody please tell me whether or not I got this right. Really, part of the problem is that this article isn't that well sourced, so it's a little hard to check the facts. —aeakett 12:24, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
- James has always spoken of it as a offshoot of Magnimar... but I also think that back when PF1 was written, Cheliax's influance hadn't been fully relized, so maybe it was changed in a later source? -- Cpt kirstov 14:21, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
