Talk:The Last Theorem/Conflicts

From PathfinderWiki

Schools

The Pact Stone Pyramid describes The Last Theorem as having a strong aura in all schools. The Pathfinder Playtest adventure Doomsday Dawn does not use auras but includes a divination descriptor. Pathfinder Playtest materials do not have a canon tier and no official ruling has been cited, so this conflict is currently unresolvable without more information or a canon tier for playtest materials. -Oznogon (talk) 18:50, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

I spoke with James Jacobs about this, and he says that Doomsday Dawn, specifically, should be considered a Pathfinder Module for the sake of canon tiering. Part of the intent of the adventure, according to him, was "to correct some of the elements of early modules that didn't end up jiving with the campaign setting as a whole." The fact that magic items don't really work this way (with lots of different auras) was specifically something he wanted to correct.—Paizo Publishing, LLC.png Yoda8myhead (talk) 21:17, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, Yoda8myhead. Per this and the additional context on the canon policy proposal discussion, I'm marking this as officially resolved and treating the above comment as Tier 0 errata. -Oznogon (talk) 21:38, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
