What happened to Thanatos? Uligor is the new home for Orcus according to Lords of Chaos and have written the article accordingly. Interestingly reference to 'thanatotic titans' is mentioned in LoC. Here is the text I removed that referred to Thanatos in case we need it. --Fleanetha 11:28, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Orcus's [[Abyss|abyssal home]] is desolate [[Thanatos]], an undead haunted, ruined city where life is all but unknown.
Thanatos was Orcus's home in D&D's Planescape cosmology. I'm guessing Paizo realized that Thanatos wasn't covered by the OGL after name-dropping it in Descent into Midnight and changed its name accordingly.--Filby (talk) 05:22, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
That makes sense Filby and is a good working assumption - thanks for making the amendments to the page and the useful footnote. --Fleanetha (talk) 09:29, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Further confirmed by James Jacobs in 2011:
If we wanted to (name Orcus' Abyssal realm Thanatos), we probably could. We couldn't make it look and feel like WotC's Thanatos, though, so what would be the point?
Also merged this inline ref into this conflict page, which was moved from Talk:Orcus/Conflicts:
In Descent into Midnight, Orcus's realm is given as "Thanatos", the name of his realm in Dungeons & Dragons. The name of his realm was changed to "Uligor" in subsequent publications. -Oznogon (talk) 17:56, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
