Template talk:Viewpoint/doc
Maybe define viewpoint here in the help for the template? For instance, I have assumed it meant that the character so templated was telling the story such as Varian Jeggare. Or is it more subtle so that we'd include characters whose tale is being told albeit by a 3rd party narrator? --Fleanetha (talk) 22:06, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'd lean more toward first-person only for this. Thoughts == point of view == viewpoint. --Morbus Iff (talk) 22:34, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Nearly every piece of fiction coming from Paizo is written from a third-person limited point of view. As such, I think we should include all characters whose thoughts are included in that limited POV as viewpoint characters. Obviously, any character that narrates a story in first-person would qualify. Comics and audio dramas tend to take a third-person objective approach, as they don't include any characters' thoughts. In such cases, there are no characters that would qualify for having their viewpoint represented.— Yoda8myhead (talk) 22:56, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Agreeable. Any "thoughts" would mean a use for me. --Morbus Iff (talk) 23:00, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
