That was quick. Thanks for joining and engaging so effectively in our Taldan section. I hope you notice most of my tweaks to the pages you just updated were away from your new material but if there's anything you don't understand in my updates / tweaking, then please let me know. --Fleanetha (talk) 09:43, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Quick answer

Saw your question re articles. The closest we have to guidance is this policy, Noalb1: PathfinderWiki:Scope of the project. In essence, we pretty much link anything that might need a page and certainly don't act to minimise red links. When we started indexing books a few years back, the question was raised then, and it soon became apparent that you pretty much need to index everything, otherwise it starts getting subjective and inconsistent based on people's personal decisions. An alternative approach though would be to redirect say Rondolero School to a subsection in another page as only a few sentences could be written. Then, you can add categories to the redirect page so the subject is properly categorised even though it has no page by itself. If that is done we embolden the topic to which a redirect has been made on the target page. --Fleanetha (talk) 10:29, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

Makes sense, thanks again! --Noalb1 (talk) 22:50, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
To piggyback off Fleanetha's answer a bit.. when we started we were working off the idea that anything worth having a page you would be able to write at least 3 sentences about in your own words. So there are quite a few 3-5 sentence pages out there. That is still a guideline I use, especially when trying to write a page about something that has only been mentioned in passing in a fiction source. --Cpt kirstov (talk) 09:37, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

Solmon advice

Thanks for making a new page. Here are some comments I hope you find helpful to explain the changes I made. All of them are just around making the pages standard for the wiki which, of course, we wouldn't expect you to know from Day 1. Let me know if there's anything else I did that's not clear to you.

  • Templates: please always use the standard templates found here Help:Templates - cut and paste them from the help pages in full and just leave blank any elements not known, rather than delete them, as they may be revealed later. You'd managed to conflate a 1E and a 2E template together. For a 1E-only (so far) NPC, best to use the 1E version of Template:Person. The template's page also gives instructions about how to fill it in properly. An even easier way for creating a new page is to use the 'Article template toolbox' which should pop up at the top of the page when you click any red link. Then, choose the appropriate type of page you are creating, person, creature, city, etc., and a template page will be created for you to amend.
  • Cut and paste: we cannot cut and paste large chunks of text from a Paizo publication: PathfinderWiki:Plagiarism. I've just hidden the text you copied so that you can, if you wish, reword it yourself to better your page.
  • Categories: each page should be properly categorised. Again, there is help on how to do this here: Help:Categories with many subpages of help for various types of page subject. However, you can always add Category:Please check categories to a page if you need help/advice/checking. --Fleanetha (talk) 11:55, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
