Warg
(Creature)

Wargs, sometimes spelt worg,1 are a large, intelligent, and often malevolent species of wolf. They hunt in packs as wolves do and often work with other violent creatures.23

Society

Witchwargs, also known as winter wolves, sometimes admit wargs into their packs, though only when food is plentiful. Even when they do, they still consider wargs to be stupid and weak. Wargs are always below winter wolves in the pack's hierarchy, although if the pack also includes mundane wolves, wargs are still considered more prominent than them. Such mixed packs use wargs' greater stealthiness by deploying them as scouts.4

On Golarion

Violent knights comfortable with natural beasts might be able to attract a warg as a mount.5

Wargs roam across the Whistling Plains east of Taldor and Galt, and north of Qadira.6

Some wargs form hunting parties alongside orcs and hobgoblins, although they are prone to turning on their companions if food runs low.73
