Wolfsbane, sometimes called aconite and monkshood,1 is a tall, poisonous plant with blue flowers whose roots are used medicinally in small, diluted amounts as an analgesic and to regulate the heart. It can cure the curse of the werecreature if administered before an afflicted person's first transformation,23 and can be concentrated to form a powerful poison.4
