Archelon
Archelon
(Creature)
The archelon is a giant relative of the leatherback sea turtle that grows up to 13 feet long, 16 feet wide, weighs 5,000 pounds and possesses a strong bite. Archelons lay their eggs in sandy beaches, preferably facing deep water and without coral reefs, then abandon them. They are often used as guards by coastal tribes and beasts of burden by aquatic races like locathah, but make poor mounts due to their slow speed.1
