Cullerton wool
Cullerton wool, also known as Laken wool, is an export of the River Kingdom of Lambreth famous for its soft texture. It is loomed in Lambreth's capital of Maashinelle1 and sells for 10 sp per bulk or 240 sp per sack.2
History
The wool is named for the Cullerton family, one of the founding families of the Triunes of Lambreth prior to the rule of the despot Lord Kamdyn Arnefax. Arnefax exiled the Cullertons after slaying Tandre Cullerton and his wife for Tandre's request of a delay before granting Arnefax rule over Lambreth in 4675 AR, then seized the Cullertons' looms and sold them to Luana Laken.
Laken recruited the Cullertons' suppliers and used their looms to resume production of the wool. By 4698 AR, Luana had become so successful that "Laken wool" had surpassed the reputation of its origins, and she was appointed mayor of Maashinelle.1
Trade
Lambreth's fearsome Black Eagles, who work for Lord Arnefax, protect shipments of the wool down the West Sellen River.2 The wool typically arrives to Carpenden in time for its moonmelon harvest, where merchants race to purchase enough of the wool to protectively pack their melon shipments.3
